Will Pelosi follow through and get impeachment trial stated this week?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she was going to send the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate this week. Now we wait to see if she will actually do it.

There are plenty of people who don't think it will happen, like Melissa Mackenzie with the American Spectator.

"Everybody has had time to plan doe this big, momentous occasion. We'll see if it starts this week. Somehow I doubt it," Mackenzie said.

The delay was to get a 'fair trial,' but Mitch McConnell hasn't budged.

"Why in the world would he cede his power to her? She painted herself into a corner," Mackenzie stated.

Jared Woodfill with the Conservative Republicans of Texas says there is only one outcome.

"There will be a quick trial. This will be summarily dismissed. The truth will come out; that this was nothing more than a political witch hunt," Woodfill stated.

And until this is over, former White House adviser Steve Bannon says the President should delay the February 4th State of the Union address.
