The bad guys still looking to scam you online

The coronavirus outbreak isn't stopping the bad guys from trying to scam you online.

Even though we are going through a public health crisis, 'PC Matic' CEO Rob Cheng says the bad guys are still working, trying to take advantage of you with emails you think are real.

"There are fake emails out there that look like they are from the World Health Organization and the CDC," Cheng said.

Cheng says you should not click on any attachments because they may have ransomware, and that you should check to see if emails are legit.

"Sometimes they will make small changes to fool you. If you look carefully, you'll see the address is off. That is your warning sign," Cheng explained.

He says the best way to do that is to hover above the email address of the sender in order to verify it.
