It was announced this morning that 2020-21 Formula E champion and Williams/Mercedes test driver Nyck De Vries has signed a contract to drive for AlphaTauri in 2023. This full-time promotion has been well earned as the Dutch driver has shown great pace driving for Williams. Many considered De Vries as the heir apparent for Lewis Hamilton but with the 7 time champion not leaving anytime soon, it was clear that he needed to go his own way.
He will be replacing Pierre Gasly who is being linked to team Alpine.
