Lone Star Flight Museum Honors Women Pilots Today

This is a great week to head to the Lone Star Flight Museum and pick up a lesson in history.

The 80th Anniversary of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) Speicial Events at the Lone Stat Flight Museum.

The WASP was established during World War Two on August 5, 1943 and flew a total of 60 million miles performing a variety of missions.

Attendees are going to have the opportunity to hear stories and view artifacts from the WASP that served.

Date: Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023

Time: 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. – Hangar Talk on the history of WASP.

          10:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Curator display of amazing WASP artifacts and uniforms.

           Kids can also make their very own WASP pin.
