Drip...drip...drip...Houston's water problems linger...drip...

No comfort yet for residents with sky-high water bills and no means to pay them.

Maybe next week.

On Wednesday Houston City Council delayed athevote on nine water bill ordinances designed to bring relief to Houstonians struggling with high water bills. Council members were ready to vote in Wednesday's meeting when Councilman Michael Kubosh asked for a delay because they'd only received the details of the ordinances late Tuesday afternoon.

Mayor Sylvester Turner officially delayed the vote until the next council meeting. Turner is interested in passing the ordinances in the closing weeks of his final term in office.
