The Houston police officer was shot several times while searching for a burglary suspect last Saturday is home from the hospital.
Houston Police Chief Troy Finner announced in an X post that Sergeant Mauricio Valle was discharged from Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center on Wednesday. Finner thanked the hospital staff and the people of Houston for their prayers and support.
Valle and the suspect had an exchange of gunfire, and the suspect died at the scene.
