Carissa Moore, a renowned US athlete, has made significant strides in the world of surfing. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Moore attended Punahou School and graduated in 2010. She has a younger sister, Cayla, who also competes in surfing.

Moore's achievements in surfing are remarkable. At the age of 18, she became the youngest person, regardless of gender, to win a surfing world title. She was also the first woman to compete in the Triple Crown of Surfing, Hawaii's most prestigious contest series featuring the world's best male surfers.

Her accomplishments extend beyond the waves. Moore is known for her work in helping young girls develop confidence and pursue their dreams. Her efforts have earned her recognition as an Adventurer of the Year by National Geographic in 2012, a Woman of the Year by Glamour magazine in 2013, and the Top Female Surfer in the SURFER magazine poll in 2011, and from 2015 to 2017.

In her downtime, Moore enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her friends, family, and her dogs, Maya and Tuffy.

Moore's prowess in surfing has led her to the Olympics, where she won a gold medal in 2020. She also secured silver in 2022 and 2023. Moore is the reigning Olympic gold medalist and a five-time world champion in women's surfing.
