A fire and possible explosion rocked the Dow chemical plant in Freeport, Texas, Monday night. The massive complex along Brazosport Boulevard is one of Dow’s biggest production sites, and nearby residents said they felt the blast.
Company officials say the fire broke out in Plant B but was quickly contained, with all workers safe and accounted for. No injuries or shelter-in-place orders have been reported.
Police say there’s no threat to the community while crews remain on site keeping watch. Investigators are still working to find out what sparked the blaze.
