Flood Watch Canceled for Greater Houston Area

Sunday 10am: The Flood Watch we were under has been canceled for the Greater Houston area.

ORIGINAL: The early round left tens of thousands of CenterPoint customers losing power at the start of a holiday weekend. At one point nearly 40,000 customers were in the dark.

Geoff Maurer with The Weather Channel says we are for more hit and miss storms through Memorial Day on Monday. Here's his forecast.

The good news from Eric Berger at Space City Weather is that the multi day threat is seemingly over. He writes that, “As for Sunday, we expect scattered showers and thunderstorms (probably better chances closer to the coast) but nothing as organized as what we experienced today. Memorial Day probably will have less coverage still, with more sunshine.”
