Houston Area Faces Multi-Day Storm Threat

The Houston area is facing a multi-day storm threat from the remnants of Hurricane Polo. Here is the forecast from Richard Lewelling at The Weather Channel.

Moisture is up so scattered showers/storms build through the day. It's a "Winds-day": as a surface low develops near the NM/TX border, Houston gets squeezed between that low and high pressure over the eastern US, giving breezy SE winds to 15 mph, gusts ~25 mph, gustiest along the coast tonight. Local pockets of 1-2" rain are possible, especially south of I-10.

Thursday: Showers/storms likely (70%), high 91°.

Friday: Showers/storms, 80%, high 88°.

Saturday: Showers/storms, 80%, high 85°.

Sunday: Storms likely 81°.

Next week: More sunshine...finally fall 81°.
