Americans are all pitted against each other in a spiraling political madness running on media and money power lust, or so it seems to this media person having to try to make sense of it every day.
How to escape that stress? Thanks to a listener on Houston’s Morning News, I was reminded of the fun of friendly rivalry; the way it should be. It’s the big game. You see, my hometown Hallettsville Brahmas are facing the Columbus Cardinals in the State Quarter Final football playoffs in the big game stadium in Katy. The listener is a Columbus High grad and will be attending with some of his neighbors who are Hallettsville grads. Friendly rivalry, no rage. Remember how that used to be? It’s a real lift to your spirits. And as a former cheerleader, Go Brahmas!
