As the countdown continues in the debt ceiling fight, a new survey found that nearly 2/3 of Americans support the GOP's plan of work requirements to receive Medicaid and (SNAP).
"Most people actually like these work requirements" said Sean Morgan, policy reporter for Breitbart, "And it's not a terribly onerous requirement, it's just basically says that you have to work 20 hours a week for 3 months, and be able bodied. So a lot of people like this idea."
That includes Democrat voters, but not Joe Biden and the Democrat party.
"A lot of them don't like the idea of putting more restrictions on welfare benefit programs" Morgan told KTRH, "This could lead to some sort of optics question that you're going to slash benefits. They don't like the idea of carving that sort of thing, when most Americans back this program. So how do they respond to that?"
Their response is, not wanting to take away any handouts before the elections.
