A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck Japan on Saturday (May 18), according to the United States Geological Survey.
The natural disaster was reported to be centered in Tomioka with a 35.4 kilometer (about 30 miles) depth. The USGS said it received two reports of residents having felt the earthquake at the time of publication Saturday afternoon.
