The same guy who said black people who don't vote for him aren't black anymore now says civil rights icon Martin Luther King jr's death to be more important than convicted criminal George Floyd's death.
Yes, it's true, presidential candidate Joe Biden says MLK's death doesn't matter as much as George Floyd's.
You may recall from history books that MLK was jailed for marching with civil rights protesters. George Floyd, on the other hand, was not a civil rights activist. He was an ex-con who went to prison for holding a gun to a pregnant woman's belly. That doesn't his death acceptable, but it certainly doesn't make him more important than MLK.
If Joe Biden is suggesting that the reaction to Floyd's death somehow makes his life more relevant than MLK, a pacifist who was targeted by the FBI for his efforts to end racial injustice, he's wrong. During MLK's life there was no Twitter, 24 hour cable news, or activists who masqueraded as journalists.
But we shouldn't be surprised. This statement was made by the same guy who said this...
