Is she great or what?
Scientists still haven't developed a vaccine for COVID 19 but that didn't stop vice presidential hopeful Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) from taking to Twitter to proclaim her outrage and concern that black people won't have equal access to the vaccine if and when something becomes available.
Nothing that we have ever achieved has come without a fight. And right now, there is so much on the line—everything from the future of our economy to whether the Black community will have equal access to a vaccine when it’s created.
This is a remarkable claim to make, particularly because Kamala is basically implying healthcare workers are racist hateful people who won't allow black Americans to protect themselves from COVID if a limited amount of the vaccine is available and white people request access first.
There's no evidence to suggest black Americans won't have equal access to the medication, but that didn't stop Kamala from publicly insulting an entire industry of healthcare professionals.
Nurses, doctors, surgeons, and people in the pharmaceutical industry: Kamala is predicting that you'll be racist & hateful to black folks given the opportunity. Kind of an odd suggestion to make during an election, no?
Also... and again, we have to stress this point: the vaccine doesn't even exist yet. Isn't it a little too soon to start race-baiting on the vaccine issue?
