Baton Rouge Dad Gave Beer to Baby So She'd Be "Alcoholic Like Daddy"

Here's a crazy story about a Baton Rouge man who  purportedly gave his 18-month-old daughter beer so she'd be, "alcoholic  like her daddy" before he got into a fight with the girl's mother.

On Saturday officers in Baton Rouge received reports of a domestic knife attack.

After traveling to a local home, police learned that James Butler and his very young daughter both smelled of alcohol.

The girl's mother became concerned when she noticed the toddler was stumbling and appearing lethargic.

The mother said Butler admitted he gave the girl alcohol and said she's ''going to be an alcoholic like her daddy."

When Butler demanded money so he could buy more beer the mother refused and a fight broke out over her wallet.

The victim reports Butler then became irate and pulled out a knife before he charged at her.

The woman says she then kicked Butler, which caused him to drop the knife.

According to the arrest records, she then picked up the weapon and hit Butler in the back.

After  police arrested Butler they learned about his history of violent  behavior and a restraining order requiring him to stay away from the  victim.

Butler was charged with aggravated battery, cruelty to a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Not exactly father-of-the-year.
