Never bring a gun to a taser fight!
A video obtained by the New York Post shows an NYPD cop using a stun gun to bring down a man who allegedly slashed a 40-year-old in the face last week in the Bronx.
The video shows a police officer and a man dressed in black playing cat and mouse around a black SUV that appears to be trying to enter a parking garage.
The police officer moves around to the front of the vehicle — into the garage — as the man he is pursuing makes a break for it. A popping noise rings out, and the man stumbles to his knees with a cry.
“Get down now, now,” the cop says. “Turn over,” the cop continues.
The event unfolded just after 6 p.m. near the intersection of East 170th Street and Grand Concourse on March 28, according to police. A 40-year-old man told police he had been slashed in the face after a dispute.
The NYPD confirmed the stun gun use on suspect Jahmek Elliot. The 31-year-old Bronx man was arrested and charged with assault, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana, police said.
