Universal rule: anytime an organization tries to pander to the "Woke" crowd, they get punished for not being woke enough. Pay attention, Chick-Fil-A, because this is your future (more on them in a minute).
In recent years the ultra-liberal Burger King corporation sold a gay pride Whopper, ran an anti-net neutrality ad-campaign, and threatened to move their company to Canada.
All of the previously mentioned lame attempts at pandering to the woke crowd were hardly even acknowledged by the Left, but the Impossible Whopper was different. The Impossible Whopper, Burger King's exciting new vegan burger, was supposed to be make Burger King look like the ultra woke uber lit anti-fascist fast food restaurant that Burger King's ad execs longed for.
The Impossible Whooper was an instant success: people loved it!
Just one problems... Burger King didn't realize the angry vegans they were trying to pander to were... angry.
Now Burger King is being sued by a group of vegans led by Phillip Williams (some angry vegan) who claim their vegan food is absorbing the juice of a dead cow every time the restaurant cooks their food on the same grill as regular beef patties. In short, they're mad because Burger King doesn't have a grill exclusively for their vegan food.
Now let's get back to Chick-Fil-A; the popular Christian-owned fast food restaurant recently announced they would stop donating to Christian charities branded "anti-LGBT" after years of protests from angry progressive activists. This a huge mistake.
Much like Burger King, Chick-Fil-A is trying to pander to the woke crowd. This won't end how they're hoping it will end. You'll never make the social justice warriors happy. Don't even bother.
So what did Burger King and Chick-Fil-A do wrong? In short, they're trying to please a group of people (Leftists) who will never be happy. Leftists love to be angry - that's their modus operandi. They enjoy protesting. The thought of being outraged over a seemingly mundane issue fills their hearts with joy.
Let this be a lesson to all small business owners everywhere: just be you. Don't try to be "woke". You will lose every time.
