NYPost & Washington Times: "Extremists" Spotted Among Trump Supporters:

Update: journalists at the Washington Times and NYPost have altered the original story mentioned in this article. They now say: "Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that XRVision facial recognition software identified Antifa members among rioters who stormed the Capitol Wednesday... Facial recognition software has identified neo-Nazis and other extremists as participants in Wednesday’s assault on the U.S. Capitol."

By now you've heard all about the invasion of our nation's capitol by protesters in Washington DC during yesterday's MAGA rally.

We know people stormed the capitol and we know there was violence. At least one woman was shot by police.

According a report from the New York Post, some of the people spotted among the angry mob were known members of Antifa (this point has been highly disputed, but the the Washington Times claim they have the receipts and the NYPost is also reporting on the same data). How many more of the unidentified rioters were also members of Antifa? The answer, if any, is still unknown, but in law enforcement this type of person is known as an agent provocateur.

Larry Celona of the NYPost reports:

At least two known Antifa members were spotted among the throngs of pro-Trump protesters at the Capitol on Wednesday, a law enforcement source told The Post.
The Antifa members disguised themselves with pro-Trump clothing to join in the D.C. rioting said the sources, who spotted the infiltrators while monitoring video coverage from the Capitol.
The infiltrators were recognized due to their participation in New York City demonstrations, and were believed to have joined in the rioting so that Trump would get blamed, the source said.
Two other D.C. protesters were actually Philadelphia-based Antifa members, The Washington Times reported Wednesday night, citing a retired military officer with access to facial recognition software.

WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 06: Protesters enter the U.S. Capitol Building on January 06, 2021 in Washington, DC. Congress held a joint session today to ratify President-elect Joe Biden's 306-232 Electoral College win over President Donald Trump. A group of Republican senators said they would reject the Electoral College votes of several states unless Congress appointed a commission to audit the election results.
